Working as a Bank Doctor at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston

There are a number of benefits that working as a Bank Doctor at UH Bristol and Weston can provide: primarily, the flexibility to choose the shifts that suit you, with no obligation to be tied into a set rota. We also offer competitive rates of pay, with Bank Doctors being paid weekly instead of monthly like substantive members of staff. Bank shifts are also a great way for you to gain experience in different areas of the Trust, as you will have the flexibility to opt in to shifts in areas that you choose.

The process of joining our Bank is as straightforward as ever. Simply send a CV to Bankrecruitment@uhbw.nhs.uk along with the area(s) that you would like to work in. You will then be put forward for the online application process. Necessary checks may include an ID check, DBS check, Occupational Health questionnaire.

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston is a fully licensed A-Rated Tier 2 sponsor, meaning we are able to sponsor Tier 2 applicants to enter the UK providing the candidate and the post meet all relevant Home office requirements. Acute Medicine at UHBW

To underline the Trust’s commitment to developing its acute medical services, it is has made major investments and changes to its model of care recently. There is a three year commitment to further expansion and investment in acute services. The Trust has recently set-up a Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) service, run jointly with the ED, which offers exciting opportunities in service growth and development for the successful candidate.
