Adult and Children’s Nursing Oncology Open Morning

We are delighted to offer a bespoke rotation within our Trust oncology services.

Successful applicants will have the opportunity of a “build your own” oncology rotation throughout our oncology services covering ages 0-25 and beyond.

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (working in partnership in adult services with North Bristol NHS Trust) is the designated Principal Treatment Centre (PTC) for babies, children, teenagers and young adults with cancer in the south west of England. The PTC oversees the delivery of specialist malignant haematology and oncology care along with the provision of emotional, social and practical support to young people and their families.

We welcome applicants from experienced oncology nurses and also from those new to the speciality. So if you are looking to learn new skills including gaining SACT competency please apply

The rotation can include all oncology areas across the Trust which includes, but not limited to:

  • TYA (Teenage and Young Adults Unit) (Ages 16-25)
  • Apollo 35 (Ages 10-15)
  • Starlight (Ages 0-10
  • Ocean – Oncology day beds – (Ages 0-15)
  • Bristol Haematology and Oncology Hospital adult inpatient wards and day unit areas. ( D603 – Oncology inpatient ward; D703 Haematology and Stem transplant inpatient ward)
