Welcome to the Consultation Support Hub
Going through a consultation process can feel uncertain, challenging, and emotionally demanding—especially when it involves interviewing for your role again. This space is designed to support you every step of the way. Here, you’ll find clear guidance, practical tools, and trusted resources to help you navigate the process with confidence.
Whether you’re preparing for interviews, seeking clarity on what to expect, or simply looking for reassurance, we’re here to ensure you feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout this journey.
The Consultation Process
This process impacts on individuals and across teams differently. Your manager will discuss the impact of these potential changes with you to ensure you fully understand this. For some, this is a potential change of job title, line manager, or reporting line. For others, there are more significant changes to their job role and potentially putting their current role at risk. The consultation involves the whole team but applies to those whose roles are directly affected. We do, however, welcome views and feedback from everyone on the proposals.
As you move through the consultation process, it’s important to take the time to read the job descriptions for any newly formed or changed roles thoroughly. Understanding the responsibilities, expectations, and required skills will help you make informed decisions about your options and prepare effectively if you choose to express interest or interview. Pay particular attention to any changes from your current role, including new competencies, reporting lines, or ways of working. This will not only help you assess your own suitability but also give you confidence when discussing the role with managers or during interviews. Taking a moment to reflect on how your experience aligns—and where you may want to develop further—can make this stage feel more manageable and empowering.

How to Write an Expression of Interest
An EOI is your chance to briefly outline why you’re interested, why you’re a good fit, and what you’ll bring to the role. It should be concise, positive, and focused.
1. Start with your interest in the role
Explain why you want the role:
What attracts you to it?
How does it align with your strengths or career goals?
2. Highlight your relevant experience
Pick 2–3 key achievements or responsibilities that directly relate to the role:
Mention results or specific contributions.
Show how your experience demonstrates readiness.
3. Showcase your skills and strengths
Link your skills to what the role needs:
Leadership, problem‑solving, communication, organisation, etc.
Include examples where possible.
4. Explain the value you would bring
Briefly outline the positive impact you can make:
What improvements or contributions could you offer?
How would you support the team or organisation going forward?
Where can I find support resources on interview skills?
We have put together a set of short videos on the link below that guide you through how to write a strong application and provide helpful interview tips. These resources are designed to support both internal and external applicants, so you may find that some sections are not directly relevant to your situation. However, we hope they offer useful insight and help you feel more confident as you prepare for the next steps
