Research and Trials

The Women’s and Children’s Division have incredible access to research studies and clinical trials in order to give patients the most effective care possible. New and novel drugs are introduced to the relevant patient populations via clinical trials, while novel therapies may also be offered to patients alongside researching existing treatments, therapies and interventions.

Within the last year the W&C Division Research Unit has recruited 3,277 patients into 72 actively recruiting studies, with the research nurse and midwife team leading recruitment and providing the clinical and supportive care throughout.
