In CED you will care for children from a wide variety of multi specialities including but not restricted to surgery, cardiology, burns, plastics, cardiology, neurology, oncology, haematology and renal.

A career in CED is a way of gaining a wide range of  knowledge across all specialties and the opportunity to develop extensive skills in Advanced Paediatric Life Support and Trauma.

Come and join us on our open day which will include: information presentation, interactive skills station, career discussions, meet the team with a Q&A session and a tour of CED.

Refreshments included!

I love the team and the fact that the Management is so supportive and care for our well-being. I like the pace and the fact that my shifts are varied. I enjoy learning to look after acutely unwell children, and the fact that it's massively boosted my confidence in my clinical judgement, and as a person overall
What I like about working in CED is flat hierarchy, team culture and cohesion. Access to progression and developing CPD. Variety of patients, ever changing working conditions and ability to think strategically and dynamically
I love how the team support one another. I like how the band 7’s are approachable
Learn something new every day. The team is supportive & lots of learning opportunities
I love the fast pace of it, the diversity of patients but mainly the team! I feel it’s a great team that really cares about each other and supports each other
